Item Description
Smaller items range from 5/8" to 1.5" plus there is one 3.75" tall "Executive Committee" metal badge with celluloid insert showing woman in motoring outfit and with text for "Second Annual Auto Show Convention Hall (March 15-20) Under Auspices Of Rochester Automobile Association/The Real Show". Undated but c. 1905. Majority of items in the first five rows are brass or silvered brass while majority of items in the bottom two rows are celluloid buttons. Earliest dated item is from 1910 showing woman holding steering wheel and surrounded by a sunburst with the initials above "AMCMA." Reverse has stamped serial number "649."  This and most of the other similar metal pieces are lapel studs. The second item shows a racing style car with date of 1911 and rim text "11th Annual International Auto Show." Reverse has serial number "3648". Remainder of row one consists of three items from New York shows, there are two items from Buffalo, five from Rochester, four from Cleveland, five from Chicago, and nine misc. for a total of 29 pieces. Twenty of the 29 pieces are dated for 1920 or earlier. Row 2, #1 from Rochester, 1910 has some age stains but otherwise vast majority of items are Exc. to Mint.  An outstanding collection.
