Item Description
Twenty seven pieces relating to auto shows with three misc. buttons in the bottom row. One of these dated 1915 is for "Auto Derby/Speedway/Chicago". Second item from 1945 is from "Automotive Golden Jubilee" exhibit at Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. Last item from 1974 is from a vintage Chevrolet club meeting. This has some light spotting. Of the other 27 buttons, 17 include the word "Exhibitor" or "Dealer" or have a serial number. Twenty two of these 27 are dated between 1907-1958. Button sizes are 7/8" to 3". Group begins with undated example from early 1900s "Minneapolis Auto Show". This displays well but has tiny cello cracks. Next is an early 1900s button naming Kansas City. Third in the top row is for "Minneapolis Auto Show" in 1907. Outstanding art nouveau design although with light age tone on the white background. Row 4, #4 and row 5, #4 both have craze lines. Row 6, #1 has slight fade and age marks and second in the same row has some edge staining. Last item in that row is an enamel on brass badge undated but reading "International Automobile Show." Overall vast majority of items are Exc. to NM. An extensive group that took decades of collecting to assemble.
