Item Description
The "Shazam" button is a 1-1/8" litho with Fawcett Publications 1948 copyright on the curl. The center of the button has just the slightest smooth concave indent, a little noticeable to the touch but with the button still displaying glossy Mint. Next are six identical "Superman" buttons that were issued in 1945-1946 as inserts, along with 85 different characters, in Kellogg's Pep boxes. See full set #972. The buttons were distributed over time in five distinct groups but Superman was included in each of the five groups so this lot is ideal for the exacting collector who might wish to display his collection in the five groups as issued (we can supply the breakdown, email: hted@hakes.com) as opposed to the normal display in alphabetical order. Five of these buttons are Exc. to NM and the last in the bottom row has a very slight center dent but clean paint. Fine.
