Item Description
These are all rare limited issue items. We will address each briefly in order. (1) 8" felt arm band missing the string ties issued for "Fifth Loan" naming "Marion County Legion/Authorized  Officer/Major General." (2) 4x4.75" fabric which seems to be as made but we're not sure how it would have been used. Has thin vertical crease and tiny edge wear. (3)  felt 5.75" pennant "Women's Liberty Loan Committee". (4) 4" starched fabric arm band complete with elastic and with back stamp naming Chicago maker American Badge. Light wear on the center light fold. (5) Coarse fabric 4" arm patch with maroon felt ties. Initials "LB" apparently for Liberty Bonds along with 1918 date. Light wear. (6) 4.75" ribbon for "Camden County Volunteer" center fold and a little discoloration on the left. (7) begins photo's bottom row with 2.75" tall die-cut celluloid shield used by solicitor for "U.S. War Savings Service." Made by W&H and complete with black fabric arm band. Inked personal note on the back "We Wore This Tied On Our Arm When We Were Working." (8) 3.25" tall wonderful die-cut celluloid naming "Woman's Liberty Loan Committee." Complete with black arm band. The owner enjoyed this piece writing on the reverse "Sat. Night, Oct. 26, 1918. Pretty Why It's Celluloid, Even Got The Crack In It.  Figure on (can't make out last word). Worn at fair and Oct. 12, 1918." (9) 2" cardboard tag complete with string. (10) ribbon with name panel badge with text "Fourth Liberty Loan Committee/Harrisburg." Some loss from the bottom and a fabric split across the center. Still VG. (11) 2" cardboard "Pledge" tag complete with string, light crease. (12) unusual die-cut thin cardboard badge with a small cardboard on back holding a short vertical brass stickpin. Front text "Over The Top/U.S. War Savings Service 1918."All Exc. unless noted otherwise. Many rarities.
