Item Description
Buttons are 1" to 3". Group begins with 1930s "Baby Ruth" salesclerk's advertising button. Controversy still exists as to whether the product was named after Babe Ruth or President Cleveland's daughter. Button has a few light age marks but still displays bright and glossy. Next is a brass key fob issued as a 1948 Ruth  memorial and with a quotation on the reverse by Cardinal Spellman. Next are three very early "Babe Ruth League" buttons with a pair dated for 1955-1956. Two of these have age marks. In row 2 is a metal figural of him with text "Babe Ruth Baseball Champions." Reverse has needle post and clutch. Row 3, #3 appears to be a homemade button picturing him at the "Mutual" microphone. Bottom row has a pair of cloth patches followed by a quite recent cloth patch attached to a key ring. Majority of items are from the 1960s. Exc-NM except as noted.
