Item Description
Sizes are 2-1/8" to 3". These items appear on pages 83-84 of Muchinsky and as he notes in his book Major League Knothole Buttons are particularly uncommon. This group begins with book #'s 117-119 with the first button for the Yankees and the following pair for the Pirates. Row 2 begins with plastic card for the "Seattle Mariners Knothole Gang" issued as a member's card for the "Compass Club". This is not in the Muchinsky book and carries a 2001 copyright. The row two second and third items are book #121 which is the book plate example along with a duplicate with a tiny trace of age. The remaining 11 buttons all appear as buttons 122-132 on page 84 of the book. These are all issued by the Seattle Mariners and each button names a different visiting team and a different game date in 1984. The concept was that club members could see every American League team play once during the course of the 1984 season. Row 5, #1 has a few exceedingly faint tiny age dots with the rest of the group Exc. to Mint.
