Item Description
4" w/Reading, PA union bug at 6 o'clock. Metal back and bar pin. Unlisted in Hake. Around the circumference on reverse are 14 small cello splits from mere dots to no larger than 3/16" that remain flat. These occurred during manufacturing and are consistent w/other examples of this rare button that we have encountered. The front displays totally clean and full text reads "The Elephant's 'Trade Mark'/The Red Apple/Don't Be Fooled By The Cry Of 'Graft'/A Vote For Ike Is A Vote For 'Taft'/Vote Straight Democratic." As fine an example as we have encountered. Exc. displaying Mint as made. Ron Koot Collection.
