Item Description
Sizes are 7/8" to 3.5". The Muchinsky book examples are number 9 from page 150 and number 11 from page 151. In addition the button reading "Frank Howard Fan Club 1970" is a Muchinsky plate example number 10 from page 283 of the "Fan Club" section. The 3.5" version of the "Senators" showing player ready to throw a ball with U.S. Capitol in the background is from the early 60s and scarce (Muchinsky gave it a $200 value) whereas the 3.5" button of similar design has a 1969 copyright on the curl. Light age on the "Empire Travel Club" button which is pinned to a raincheck stub for a game at Clark Griffith Stadium May 5, 1952. Button collet made a small stain mark on the ticket reverse.
