Item Description
14.75x23-1/8" Strathmore artboard w/nine panels of India ink original art by Clarence D. Russell (1895-1963) for Feb. 23, 1941 Sunday page for "Pete The Tramp," which was distributed by King Features Syndicate for more than three decades. Artboard shows Pete bragging to Linda about his marksmanship, taking her outside where he paints a large bullseye on the brick wall and draws his revolver. After missing the target a number of times, Whozie makes several bullseyes w/his peashooter, much to Pete's chagrin. Seventh panel has KFS copyright strip. Margins have printer labels at top bottom corners and show moderate aging. Artboard is Fine overall while art remains clean and VF.
