Popular zombie comic book that serves as the basis for AMC's hit "The Walking Dead" TV show. This unique graded example is a one-of-a-kind contest prize from Skybound Entertainment (a multi-platform entertainment company founded by Robert Kirkman and David Alpert) and was issued for their fifth anniversary in 2015 (as noted on CGC label). This is a first printing of "Walking Dead" #1 and not a later printing printed for this event. Kirkman has signed the CGC label (before label was slabbed) in blue felt tip pen, allowing a collector to obtain a Signature Series of "Walking Dead" #1 that is also a true first printing w/o the signature obscuring a 9.8 NM/Mint cover. The uniqueness of this comic is further enhanced by the Skybound insignia on the CGC label, believed to be the only example to exist as such. This is a truly unique item for the serious "Walking Dead" collector.
