Item Description
Oxidation of collet and metal back w/cello having diagonal surface scratches throughout and a less than .25" separation at collet between 1 and 2 o'clock visible only on reverse. Fine displaying VF. Among the most outstanding designs of the Golden Age of political campaign buttons. Offset oval portraits in ornate frames at bottom w/an American shield torch at top center flanked by two images of Lady Liberty, one carrying a pole w/liberty cap and the other a cornucopia. The matching Taft/Sherman in choice condition exceeded $2000 in our last auction. A nice opportunity to obtain a displayable and rare jugate for an affordable price.
