Item Description
Large and impressive 30.5x38.5" frame contains acrylic painting original art on canvas by legendary Fantasy/Sci-Fi and comic book artist Greg Hildebrandt. Art pays homage to Dave Cockrum and Bob McLeod's cover to "Uncanny X-Men" #94, published by Marvel Comics in Aug. 1975. Hildebrandt painstakingly recreates the cover, altering the faces of X-Men Storm, Cyclops, Colossus, Nightcrawler and Banshee to skulls, tying in w/"Death Of X" as published as a variant cover for issue #4 (Nov. 2016). Painted Oct. 2016. Art has been signed by Hildebrandt at bottom left and has been professionally matted and framed. NM and ready for display.
