Item Description
Many different Mickey Mouse tea sets were produced in Japan during the 1930s. This 7x9.5x2" deep box contains nine-piece set. Box has "Nifty Toy Tea Sets - Geo. Borgfeldt Corp." lid label and side of lid has additional label w/space for set number, though this is blank. Lid label has even, moderate aging and lid has slight inward warp. Side panel split, but rest of box remains tight. Fine overall. Box is complete w/die-cut insert containing three 1" tall teacups, three 3.25" dia. saucers, each pair has matching images of Mickey painting, watering flowers, behind radio microphone. The other three pieces include 2" tall teapot w/lid, creamer and sugar all w/same image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse in rowboat. Insert has piece reattached where saucer rests. Teacup w/watering scene has minor sliver/chip on underside of base but o/w set is Exc.
