Item Description
These eight buttons are all from the 1910 era with the first two perhaps a few years earlier. These two are 7/8" and 1", both promoting "Blue Ribbon Shoes" and each with a different illustration of both Buster and his dog Tige. Each has the same back paper naming Brown shoe makers along with the product name "Buster Brown Blue Ribbon Shoes". Next are six of seven known earliest cartoon buttons promoting the "Buster Brown Hose Supporter". All six of these have W&H back papers that were in use 1900 to 1912. The one missing button has a cartoon of Buster falling down. These all feature great color and are NM to Mint. See next item #577.
