Item Description
These are 7/8" to 1.5" and shown on the color plate pages 150, 153, 155 and 160 of Collectible Pin-Back Buttons. These are c. 1898 to c. 1915. Group begins with  "Spotted Tail/Black Feet Sioux" a premium by American Pepsin Gum Co. Second shows "Our Princess" in superb color and with back paper reading "Princess Stands For Quality/Green & De Laittere Company Importers And Grocers Wholesale Grocers/Minneapolis." Back paper has pencil mark on outer edge. Third is superb color button reading "Souvenir American Indian Scene." We've seen one from the same series reading "Souvenir Japan Scene" so these seem to relate to a World's Fair but we do not know exactly which one.  Back paper from American Artworks and could relate to any expo between 1904 to 1915. Fourth with Bastian paper c. 1907 reads "Meet Me At The Red Path Chautauqua." Last with W&H paper used 1900-1912 was issued for a Knights Templar convention in Colorado Springs with wonderful color depiction of Native American, burro and in the distance Pike's Peak. All are NM to Mint. Great color and scarce. Comes with Hake's COA.
