Item Description
1.75" superbly colored button with W&H back paper and with subtitle below her name "The Living Doll." This famous turn of the century midget from Cuba is well known to have appeared during the 1901 Pan-American exposition but what we just learned via the internet is that she had an exhibition building (admission 10¢) on the North Midway of the Trans-Mississippi Exposition. As this W&H back paper was in use primarily in 1898 it is quite likely that this button was a souvenir that could be purchased at her exhibit. Button appears on page 162 of Hake's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons. Rare and Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
