Item Description
These appear in the color section of Hake's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons on pages 150, 152, 154, 155 and 159. Sizes are 7/8" to 1-5/8". In row 2 the first four buttons are litho tin while the remaining are cello covered. Subjects are: Yellow Kid Big Bubble Chewing Gum, c. 1912 cartoon cigarette give-away showing a hobo chicken thief, a 1916 movie serial, Popeye with Penney's advertising, Orphan Annie from the early 1930s promoting her sweater, one each from an Elvis and Beatles set, two from Roy Rogers Grape-Nuts Flakes button set and a superb color button from the mid -1950s that used The Lone Ranger to promote U.S. Savings Bonds.
