Item Description
These appear on pages 153 and 150 of the book. The first is the only known full color litho from the early 1930s to depict Mickey. It is 1" and is known to have come with a gift set that included a Mickey Mouse watch fob, pencil, eraser and generic bow tie. His name is across the top while just above his foot is a small copyright symbol and the name "Walt Disney." This litho was quite susceptible to wear and this is a NM example with just a single white dot on the center background and one or two other nearly microscopic white marks. Paint is about 99% complete. Second is the "Penney's For Back To School Needs" 7/8" button from the 1930s with back paper by Pudlin, NYC. Curl has copyright symbol and "Walt Disney Enterprises". This button is somewhat curious in that it depicts Mickey in black shorts with orange pants buttons. NM. Comes with Hake's COA.
