Item Description
Made by So. Salem Studios, So. Salem, NY. 10x14.5x3" deep case marked w/title and company name plus "Property Of US Navy" and designed to stand up for display use. Case hinged in middle opens to reveal 16 compartments w/removable wood shelves, each containing gray painted solid die-cast waterline models of "Merchant" ships w/scale of 1/200. Each has printed identification text on underside. Includes various types of merchant ships, passenger, cargo, tanker, etc. Used to train in the recognition of ship silhouettes by Naval personnel. Case has light aging and trace of wear. VF. Contents NM. High quality w/superb detail. Mark Treitel Collection.
