Item Description
12.5x13.25x2.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains set by Tex Tan of Yoakum, TX. 1940. Box has some handling wear and moderate aging w/bottom right corner of lid showing heavy staining. Box retains its shape and is free of any splits. VG/Fine overall. Set consists of 33" long leather belt w/leather bullet loops containing complete amount of eight painted wood bullets. Belt has pair of 10.5" deep holster pockets (which are felt-backed) w/vinyl leg ties, metal studs, plastic stone accents and fancy metal steerhead conchos. Some scattered aging, mainly to white leather areas, but still Fine/VF overall. Comes w/pair of 9" long nickel-plated cast iron "Cowboy King" cap guns by Stevens. Both are first model w/long plain hammers. Nicely engraved w/three running horses on left side of barrel, three running buffalo on the right. Raised "Cowboy King" name on left of gun frame. Beautifully detailed grips w/high relief sheriff/Indian warrior w/red plastic jewels. Grips have shrank a bit w/age but guns are unfired and o/w Exc.
