Item Description
27.25x41" one-sheet poster for the original release of the 1939 Republic Pictures 15 chapter movie serial starring Robert Livingston as The Lone Ranger and Chief Thunder-Cloud as Tonto. Poster is for Chapter 4, "The Cavern Of Doom" and features nice illustration of Lone Ranger and Tonto at left w/image of Lone Ranger riding Silver at right. Lower left has inset scene from the serial, showing Tonto and Lone Ranger behind stockade prison door, attempting to stop bomb from going off. Poster has been folded as issued w/some faint aging along fold lines and .25" splits at fold crease intersections. Top center fold has 2.5" split, bottom center fold has 4.5" split. Poster is free of pin holes. Would make Fine/VF display if framed. Richard Calusdian Collection.
