Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 8" tall tin litho w/built-in key. Marx, 1930s. Box features same illustration on all sides of 1930s-era vaudeville, radio and film comedian Joe Penner, famous for his "Wanna Buy A Duck?" tagline. Box is evenly aged but is clean and shows little wear. VF/Exc. overall. Penner is complete w/cigar and hat. One hand holds basket containing ducks while the other hand rests on the back of his duck "Goo Goo." Toy works and he walks forward as his hat tips up and down and his cigar bobs up and down. Toy is evenly aged and shows scattered wear in the form of paint nicks/scratches. Fine/VF overall. Richard Calusdian Collection.
