Item Description
Certificate and membership kits for this club were issued in many different configurations from 1939 to 1965 (see previous item #1641). All in this lot were issued in the 1940s. Lot includes 6x9" envelope w/"Supermen Of America" return address. Typed recipient name/address. Some scattered handling wear. Fine/VF. Certificate has typed member name/address (which matches that on envelope) on provided lines. Horizontal fold at center as issued. Text in body of certificate mentions "Action Comics." Two 5-3/8x8.5" welcome letters are the same, just printed in different colors and on different paper stock. Blue letter has horizontal fold at center and pin holes at top/bottom margins. Fine. Black letter has some handling wear w/tiny nick at upper right and is Fine/VF. Pair of "Superman's Secret Code" decoder folders measures 8.5x8.75" while other is 8.5x9". Codes are the same but w/totally different text on back than previous lot. Both are unused. VF/Exc.
