Item Description
5.5x8.5" Christmas card features great image on front of Hop Harrigan in plane's cockpit, flashing the V for Victory sign w/"This Is Hop Harrigan Coming In.... To Bring You The Season's Greetings!" text. Hop Harrigan was introduced in the first issue of "All-American Comics," which was published as the flagship title of All-American Publications, (one of the forerunners to DC Comics) where it was published for 102 issues from 1939 to 1948 before All-American Publications and its titles were purchased by National Periodicals (DC Comics) in 1946. This promotional card was issued by DC Comics (see Superman promotional Christmas card, item #1649) and as such saw limited distribution. Card interior is blank as issued and unused. Card has lt. corner tip wear but is o/w Exc./NM Very rare and first we've offered in our 51 years.
