Item Description
16x30" paper poster for two-day concert event that took place Aug. 30-31, 1969 at Wootton, England. It was the second of three music festivals held on the Isle of Wight between 1968 and 1970. Organized by Fiery Creations (aka brothers Ronnie and Ray Foulk), it became a legendary event largely due to the reappearance of Bob Dylan, who hadn't played publicly for three years following a near fatal motorcycle accident in July, 1966. Other acts included The Who, Moody Blues, Joe Cocker, Fat Mattress, Free, King Crimson, Ritchie Havens, Pentangle, and more. Striking dayglo pink/black design (also produced in dayglo yellow) w/central image of a towering King Kong as a winged fairy w/magic wand. Poster has some scattered handling wear w/.5" tear at top right and another .5" tear along lower right margin. VF overall.
