Item Description
2-1/8" with Bastian paper. Full text is "Long Beach Festival Of The Sea/Long Beach, Calif./Sept. 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5. 1908." The four largest words making up the text are formed by sea snakes with circular heads and tiny facial details. The background scallop shell design encompasses a lovely mermaid with flowing hair covering her breasts as she fusses with it having risen from the harbor waters which show a large number of small boats, many with sails, in the background. In addition to the superb color design, the design is perfectly centered and the button surface has high gloss with almost no surface wear. Among the most stunning buttons ever produced and condition of this equals or exceeds the five examples we've been able to offer in our 51 years.
Essentially Mint.
