Item Description
7/8" real photo. Reverse top edge has .25" line where extra cello folded under the collet, but from the front only a pinpoint notch on extreme edge is seen. Button reads "No. 3- G.M. Anderson-Essanay/The Sunday Courier". This is a most historic film button. Gilbert M.  Anderson was a founder and co-owner of Essanay Studios in 1907. A few years later, as "Broncho Billy" Anderson, he became the first star of the Western film genre. We believe the button, #3 in an apparent set, is c. 1913-1915. We do not know the location of "The Sunday Courier". Mint as made. One known to us.
