Item Description
Lot of 24 approx. 3.5x6.5" envelopes, all issued during World War II era, featuring different anti-Axis images, including caricature images of Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo as well as "Wanted" poster for "1 Dead Jap," two versions of cartoon B-29 bee stinging Tojo, Hirohito as monkey, Uncle Sam holding Axis leaders faces to grinder, Uncle Sam as soldier approaching the Alps (w/Hitler hiding in fear behind them), applied "This Is The Enemy" color label showing Hitler in flames over ruins, two envelopes mentioning Pearl Harbor and another mentioning Battle of Midway. All but one have been postally issued. Scattered handling wear/aging. Fine/VF to Exc. overall. An instant collection. Mark Treitel Collection.
