21-3/825-5/8" frame contains artboard w/pen and ink original art for Sept. 22, 1946 Sunday page that has been nicely hand-colored w/watercolors. Art by "Gasoline Alley" creator Frank King features 11 panels, each featuring Skeezix, his wife Nina and son Chipper visiting the zoo, riding horse and taking rowboat ride. First panel features hand-colored title past-over w/original art. King has signed this panel. Paste-over has .5" surface paper pull and artboard shows lt. aging to margins but o/w remains clean and bright. Art displays Exc. as matted and framed and ready for display.
