Item Description
14x36" insert poster for the original American release of the 1962 British spy film, the first in the long-running James Bond series, and the first to star Sean Connery as 007. Poster notes film as "Now... Meet The Most Extraordinary Gentleman Spy In All Fiction... James Bond, Agent 007!" and features a subtle play on Mitchell Hooks' original poster design, featuring Connery and four Bond girls (including Ursula Andress, Eunice Gayson, Zena Marshall and Marguerite LeWars). Poster has three horizontal folds as issued and is evenly aged. Pin holes at corners w/a few along margins and scattered handling wear w/approx. 3" streaks of surface paper lift at top corners. Back of poster has had brown paper tape squares added at corners and square of white paper added at top center, repairing 2.25" tear. Back also has some scattered tape staining at bottom w/some surface paper lifts, not affecting front of poster's display. VG overall.
