Item Description
First is 2.5" tall shoulder patch with the design adopted in 1945 for the Manhattan District, the name used by the Army component of the Manhattan Project formed 1942 to create the first nuclear weapon. Patch has slight dust tone on the white area and tiny stitch holes, barely seen, from its original use on a uniform. Fine.  Second is the "Sterling" 11/16" pin given to those with over one year service on the "Manhattan Project A Bomb". A bronze pin went to those with under a year's service. Pin includes symbol of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Mint. While the pin is scarce, in our experience the patch is rare and first we've offered.
