Item Description
Both c. 1940s. First is 4.5" tall painted composition w/incised "Save For Victory - Make Him Squeal" text around top coin slot. 1.5" hole on bottom has squealing device, not working as usual. Side has hand-painted text noting this is an apparent radio station prize while opposite side has been signed by bank's designer, Tom Lamb (whose raised name appears on bottom). Moderate crazing to underside around feet which have typical flaking to undersides. Some lt. scattered general wear but still displays Fine overall. Second bank is 3.25" tall china w/painted features including tears running from pig's face. Botay of Kansas City, MO maker's name painted on underside. Slot at top is accented w/lines to form number "4" followed by text "Cents Defense." Pig's behind has painted Hitler caricature. Additional "Tonopah Army Air Field - Tonopah, Nevada" painted text on "cheek." Typical crazing and some lt. paint wear but VF overall. Great designs. Mark Treitel Collection.
