Item Description
8" tall tin litho w/built-in key on back. Among the earliest Disney wind-ups. Made in Germany, c. 1930. Toy works and shakes about as it walks forward. The separate die-cut tin ears, both arms and rubber tail are professional replacements by Joe Freeman's Tin Toy Works, w/all metal parts being given "distressed" look to match rest of toy. Toy has obvious paint wear (most evident on white portion of face and on front of red pants) w/scattered traces of surface oxidation (most evident on toy's face, pants and tip of one foot, which has edge missing). VG overall. One of the rarest Mickey Mouse wind-up tin toys, w/only a few known examples.
