Item Description
Beautiful group of eight Maryland ribbon badges between 8" and 11.5" long and with six of the eight featuring a celluloid at top. First shows horse and was issued for Elkridge Hounds Landholders Day in 1930. Reverse has brass prong to slip over horse harness. Next with pigeon button is 5th prize from 1908 Hagerstown Fair. Next two badges are 1st prizes for 1911 and 1912 Md. State Fair Poultry Show. Last four are various prizes from 1929-1940 each with a celluloid. These are on photographic paper without dot screen. Two show a Guernsey cow and the other two a different Guernsey and a Jersey. Three of these have string tags and one is a pin-back. VF to NM.
