3-5/8x6.5" first day cover envelope for "Moon Blastoff" has been signed in blue ink by Alan Shepard (1923-1998), the fifth person to walk on the moon. FDC bears portrait of Shepard along w/Apollo 14 crew mates Stuart Roosa and Edgar Mitchell. FDC has been postmarked Cape Canaveral, FL Feb. 6, 1971. Faint penciling at lower right, but o/w Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
