Item Description
Lot of six pieces measuring between 8.5x11" and 8.5x14" that were issued 1965-1967. Two 8.5x14" Merry Marvel Marching Society (MMMS) Bullpen Bulletins (which talk about current comics and Marvel merchandise including t-shirts, 33-1/3 rpm records, pennants and more) for Set #1 and #2; issued early-late 1965. Each comes w/accompanying order form and lot includes third order form that was issued w/Set #3, late 1966 . All three order forms are different, featuring t-shirts, "Marvel Comics Groups Official Swingin' Stationery" (see item #1869), 6' tall Spider-Man poster, "Here Comes/There Goes The Incredible Hulk" sweatshirt (shown in four specialty art comic panels featuring Doctor Doom wearing sweatshirt and interacting w/the Hulk) as well as The Thing sweatshirt. All t-shirts/sweatshirts are rare and desirable. Bulletins and order forms have been folded as mailed and have some lt. aging. VF overall. Lot also includes 8.5x10.5" mailing envelope w/MMMS return address. Soon after new MMMS kits were issued (late 1967 to early 1968) Marvel added a mailing label featuring illustration of The Thing as seen on this example. This is the rarest of the envelopes. Label has typed recipient name/address and shows scattered wear but does not appear to have been postally issued. Fine. Nice lot for the MMMS completist.
