Item Description
1.5" litho (plate #19) promoting the newspaper comic strip character (1936-1947) "Big Chief Wahoo" appearing in "The Cleveland News". The baseball team's use of the Chief Wahoo name/image dates to 1950. The button is scarce, but known with the names of various newspapers. This is the only example we've seen to name a Cleveland paper. VF. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
