Item Description
Oversized 11x17" single-sided flyer features bw photo examples of five different "Display Racks That Will Sell 'Comics'" by Central Wire Frame Co. of New York City. Sheet dates to around 1940 given the most full comic book covers shown date to late 1939/early 1940 (w/exception of 10 Pocket rack, which features comics from 1937) and April 24, 1940 pencil date on back. Comics shown include - "Superman" #2 (w/additional copy peeking out at upper right corner), "Action Comics" #11 and #15 (w/top third of #21 appearing over another book), "Adventure Comics" #21, "Marvel Mystery Comics" #5, "Mystery Men Comics" #7 (featuring the first cover appearance of Blue Beetle), "Science Comics" #1 and the top thirds of "Detective Comics" #36 and "Flash Comics" #1 (featuring the debut of the Flash and Hawkman). Other titles include "Smash Comics, Ace Comics, Wonder Comics, More Fun Comics, All-American Comics, Marvel Mystery Comics" and more. The five different comic racks include - "12 Pocket Revolving Rack, 10 Pocket Comic Size Wall Rack, 10 Pocket Comic Floor Rack, 24 Pocket Comic Rack" and "6 Pocket Comic Horizontal Hanging Wall Rack." Prices per dozen are listed by each image. Heavy vertical crease at center w/extreme margin aging/wear and two lt. horizontal fold lines as mailed. Fine overall.
