Item Description
4" w/concave metal back and safety pin soldered at 12 o'clock as produced by W&H. Similar to Hake #46 but here imprint reads "Rensselaer County Republican Club October 27th, 1908". Rensselaer County borders the city of Albany and was no doubt an active political area during the 1908 campaign. Pin section of the safety pin is missing and the surface has scattered tiny bumps that likely occurred during manufacturing. Otherwise only minor surface wear. Exc. A dramatic and imposing Taft artifact that is the first we can recall encountering in our 51 years.
