This single day event, in Sea Grit, New Jersey, was the national Presidential campaign launch of New York Gov. Franklin D. Roosevelt. The event, organized by Jersey City mayor and Democratic boss Frank Hague, drew a massive crowd of over 100,000 attendees who listened to FDR deliver an address promising to repeal prohibition.
