Item Description
1" w/no back paper. Unlisted in Hake. Scalplevel is a borough of Johnstown in Southeast Pennsylvania. Census records from 1940 show a tiny population of just 1,950 residents. Faint light brown stains scattered around edge most noticeable between 4 and 9 o'clock. VF. The only example known to us of this 1936 campaign button. Also included in this lot is a 7/8" United Mine Workers Of America Scalp Level Local 5229" union button. Obvious edge stains and surface wear, Fine. Ron Koot Collection.
