Item Description
1.25x2.25" including stick pin. DeWitt GC-1884-49. Perched eagle above a six point star frame flanked by four draped American flags. Tiny hole at bottom intended for a hanging six point star medallion w/ferrotype of Hendricks. Original stickpin on reverse and only overall minor wear. Exc. This is only the second example we have encountered of this extremely rare badge that ranks among the top Cleveland lapel pieces w/or w/o the medallion. By 1884 the use of ferrotypes had given way to the cheaper cardboard alternative making this a true standout.
