Item Description
3.5" by "Columbia Advertising Co." Bar pin removed and a 1" dia. piece of adhesive putty at center of the metal back. A few pin point dots of stray black ink as made and some trivial surface wear in reflected light. Displays NM. This is the most desirable of the set. RFK was favored by many Democrats for the VP nomination in part as a tribute to his slain brother. Johnson wanted no part as the two men shared a notorius mutual contempt for one another. As the Atlantic City, NJ DNC approached Johnson went as far as having the FBI monitor RFKs contacts to prevent any last minute efforts to draft Kennedy as VP during the convention.
