Item Description
29-7/8x40" poster has stunning patriotic art by Newell Convers Wyeth featuring Uncle Sam holding large American flag and commanding US troops charge as they in battle and warplanes fly overhead. Poster was printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office in 1942, O-469204. Folded as issued, poster has now been linen-mounted and has restoration to all four corners and at top center margin above and around Uncle Sam's head (but not affecting his image). Margin has some tear repairs and fold lines/fold crease intersections have some color touch-ups, most notable to blue area of flag and Uncle Sam's vest. Poster is evenly aged and displays Fine as linen-mounted.
