Item Description
18.25x21-1/8" frame contains matted artboard w/oil painting original art by The Brothers Hildebrandt created in 1994 for Fleer's popular "Marvel Masterpieces" trading card series. Card features the villain Klaw, who has been a nemesis of Black Panther and other Marvel heroes for years, first appearing in 1966. Andy Serkis portrays the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing in the 2015 film "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" and reprising the role in the 2018 film "Black Panther." Signed "T & G Hildebrandt" at bottom. Tim Hildebrandt has since passed away. Few pieces of original Marvel art by The Brothers Hildebrandt come up for sale on the secondary market, making this a truly special piece. Frame shows some scattered wear, but art remains NM and ready for display as professionally matted and framed.
