Item Description
4.25x6.5" cabinet photo has "Sullivan" name at bottom w/J.M. Mora photographer's name and 1882 copyright. Photo shows American boxer in classic bare-knuckle pugilistic pose. Sullivan is recognized as the first heavyweight champion of gloved boxing, holding the title from Feb. 7, 1882 to 1892. He is generally recognized as the last heavyweight champion of bare-knuckle boxing under the London Prize Ring Rules. 1/8" mark at bottom center w/tiny black spot on Sullivan's upper chest, but o/w VF.
