Item Description
8.25x11.25x1.5" deep illustrated one piece cardboard box has lid graphics showing five titles in stars. Published by Gilberton. c. 1940s. Titles/numbers include comic books pictured on lid - "Gulliver's Travels" #16, "The Deerslayer" #17, "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" #18, "Huckleberry Finn" #19 and "The Corsican Brothers" #20. All are HRN 28 which are 4th printings except for issue #20 which is a 3rd printing. Comic books have some aging/wear overall. Fine overall. Issue #16 and #20 have some spine wear and are VG. Box has heavy wear w/end flaps missing but replacement pieces in place for nice display. Some creasing on one side. Foam insert present to keep box in shape. Displays Good. All of these gift boxes are scarce, especially with the books included. Richard Calusdian Collection.
