Item Description
Original premium prototype art lot for proposed 1950s Post's Mighty Mouse cereal premium. Post produced a variety of Mighty Mouse premiums and also featured the character on cereal boxes. Lot includes two 3.5x14-7/8" artboard strips w/all original art for Mighty Mouse and Mitzi Mouse masks (though hand-lettered names are switched on art). Both feature additional cut-out noses w/masks and Mitzi Mouse art features hair w/bow piece as well as image of complete mask. These strips have been folded as they would have been issued as box inserts and show lt. wear to paint along these fold lines. Mighty Mouse strip has corner tip wear at lower right, but this does not affect art, which remains clean and Exc. Lot also includes complete cut-out parts for both masks, w/Mitzi Mouse hair attached via slots above eyes. Both cut-out masks and nose pieces have had a shellac coating added. Scattered lt. wear but VF overall. Unique lot. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
