Item Description
6.5" tall painted figural composition bank depicts Pinocchio riding atop a turtle. Crown Toy Manufacturing Co., 1940. © WDP. Underside is missing metal trap and key. Nick has stressline that goes around front of neck, about two-thirds of way around neck. Face has 1/8" craze ring at corner of mouth and hat has 1/8" surface flake. Other scattered small color rubs to front/back of turtle and dust soiling to Pinocchio's shoulders. Still a nice example for this type of bank which usually exhibits extensive crazing, not the case for this one. Fine. While we have had other Pinocchio banks by Crown, this is only the second of this style we have offered in our 51 years.
