Item Description
8.5x17x1.25" deep box contains three totally different gameboards by Lutz & Sheinkman ©1934 John F. Dille Co. This was both a store item and issued as a Cream of Wheat premium. Nice lid art w/inset circles including title of each game board, around these are images of rocketships, planets and stars. For some reason at lower right, the original printing of "3 Complete Games" has a factory paste-over w/name of one of the game boards "Siege Of Gigantica." Moderate box wear w/some dust soiling and lt. creases, mostly along edges but box remains tight w/vibrant color. Fine. Each gameboard is 16x16" w/large elaborate space scene at center surrounded by additional small illustrations of Buck Rogers, Wilma Deering, rockets, weapons, planets, etc. Game titles are "Siege Of Gigantica, City Of The Heavens, Cosmic Rocket Wars, Search For The Secrets Of Atlantis Continent Under The Sea." Game play is designed so that each board could be used individually or all at the same time, also designed for anywhere between two and 12 players. Same instructions are printed on bottom margin of each gameboard. Each board has slight warp, very lt. trace of dust soiling. Outer surface also has small scattered trace of edge wear, but all playing surfaces remain bright w/great color. Boards are VF. An original but plain red box contains complete set of 40 illustrated cards as well as three of original amount of 12 bowling pin-shaped wood playing pieces. Half of the cards feature different character and space-related illustrations, all of which are different while half feature a generic spiral design. Cards show just slightest aging but remain totally clean, free of creases and w/sharp corners. Cards are still Exc., rarely found complete and in this condition.
